DII Telecommunications works with our service providers to have voice mail available on any State Centrex telephone line. In addition to allowing callers to leave messages when lines are busy or unanswered, this feature allows employees to record their own greetings as well as retrieve, store and forward messages left by callers.  With voice mail, no calls go unanswered!

Voice Mail User Guide

Call Answering Mailbox:

This type of voice mail will allow an incoming caller to leave a message if the state employee is talking on the telephone or if the line is not answered by a specified number of rings.

Information-only Mailbox:

This type of mailbox allows the state to leave specific information to an incoming caller. It does not allow the caller to leave a message.

Message Waiting Indication:

We can provide two types of message waiting indication depending on the type of telephone you have. The options are a visual message waiting light or an audible stutter dial tone you hear when you pick up your handset.

Dial 0:

Callers can be transferred to another line if they get your voice mail and must speak to a real human! The "dial 0" line should not have voice mail on it.

Automated Attendant Service/Call Processor:

An automated attendant or "call processor" can answer your telephone 24 hrs a day! This feature can enhance a department's communications through automated voice menus and recordings. This service can be provided on main telephone numbers for busy offices to assist in routing incoming calls to the appropriate section or individual. This technology provides the caller with a menu from which they can select the desired section or employee. By depressing a number on their phone the call is transferred to the appropriate group or individual.
